How To Make a Paper Gun
There are so many different ways to be creative. Kids like to make paper planes and fly them. There are so many great paper toys that you can make. Boys like to play cowboys and cops, so why not teach them to make paper guns. They will only cost you two-pieces of paper and they don’t look like real guns. The paper guns are very easy to make. Here are some simple instructions on how to make paper guns.
Step One: You will need 2 pieces or regular 8-1/2 x 11” paper. You can just take them from a notebook.
Step Two: Take each piece of paper and fold them in half, long ways.
Step Three: Fold the same piece of paper in 2 more times.
Step Four: Take on half of the paper and fold in half short way; this part will be the barrel of the gun
Step Five: Take the second piece of paper and fold up at each end at about a 90-degree angle; you can use a compass from school for accuracy. Then leave about 4” in the middle of the paper
Step Six: Now fold the same paper to make such that the 90-degree angle will line up with each other
Step Seven: Take the paper that you made the barrel from and slide it around the paper with the 90-degree angles and into the pocket that was formed when you brought the two pieces of paper together.
Step Eight: Pull the gun back and forward like you are cocking the gun. Now you have a paper gun.
You will save a lot of moneymaking paper guns; you can be creative with them. You can color them with crayons or paint pictures or decorate it like a toy gun. If you apply the same procedures on larger pieces of paper then you have different size guns, making your child use their imagination.
If you want you can use colored construction paper for a whole new concept of paper guns. You can use the same colors or you mix and match to create different designs. Paper guns won’t last as long as plastic guns but they can be recycled and can be called green toys. This project can be a rainy day activity for your kids. They are safe and fun for a few hours of play.
