How to Find the Volume

Remember the good old days when you bought something like a stereo or radio and the buttons were all marked what they were. The on and off buttons, the tremble buttons and the volume buttons. But the newer the technology is, the harder these buttons are to find.

Then you start pressing buttons or flipping switches. We can help you find these tricky volume keys on almost any thing. First look for the obvious, see if they are clearly marked. If not you will have to look for another sign. The second most common symbol of the volume is the Plus and Minus Sign. If you still can’t find what you are looking for then you will want to find a set of lines, these line will go in ascending order.

Some times the volume is a knob with a plus or minus sign. On remote controls the volume is most often plus and minus and sometimes they are triangle facing up or down with the word vol. These are all examples the volume on electronic items.

The volume is very important to any thing like a radio or stereo. The old days they used to use the word volume. Why they changed it, is a mystery. This makes things harder for people who have trouble with their eyesight or for people who are electronically challenged.

Some things just have an up and down button, better than those hard to read plus and minus signs. That is another thing, the symbols for everything are a lot smaller then they used to be. You need a magnifying glass to see the buttons on these new gadgets. Even on the cell phones the volume keys are arrow up and arrow down. On MP3 players the volume keys are actually buttons that are marked with very small and hard to read arrows.

Technology is great but something should remain the same, like volume keys. You know the old saying the more things change the more they should remain the same. Some people actually use stickers on their items and mark the volume.
