How to Copy a DVD
Consumers are looking to save money any way we can. We still like our entertainment but we don’t want to spend a lot of money to get it. The newest trend is copying DVD’s. We ask a friend to borrow a movie and we copy it to a blank disc and now we own the movie and saved ourselves about $ 20.00. This really adds up if you have friends with a lot of movies.
Here are some steps to help to copy DVD’s:
Step One: You have to first purchase DVD’s that you can copy from, these are usually burner DVD’s. You can find them in Best Buy or Wal-Mart. Keep in mind that you may not be able to copy some movies because they have an encryption that won’t let you steal the movie. But if you have a friend who taped the movie from cable onto a DVD then you will have no problem at all copying these DVD’s.
You can use your computer copy these DVD’s just like you would a CD. You would need a CD or DVD burner installed into the computer. You can also use a DVD player and hook it up top a DVD recorder and simply record the movie onto a new disc.
Another way to copy a DVD is to buy the right DVD’s and you will need to purchase what they call ripper software, they actually sell these programs online and in some store. You will have to make sure that the DVd’s and the software are both compatible with your computer.
Simple, install the software and follow the directions on how to copy a DVD. There are many ways to get copies of movies onto DVD without buying the actual movie. Your best bet is to have a DVD recorder and cable. You can record any movie you like. You could even tape movies that are on the Demand channels and Pay Per View.
Basically copying a DVD is all about following directions and finding the right DVD and software. It may cost a bit of money if you choose to use the DVD player and the DVD recorder, especially if you don’t have either of these things. But in the long run it will save you money on buying DVD’s that are not cheap either. Weigh all your option buying anything and see which option will cost you less in the long run.
