Flying a kite on a windy day is as enjoyable as building one with your family and friends. Below are the steps on how to build a kite.

First you need to prepare the materials. You will need:

• A set of wooden sticks
• Paper
• Glue string
• Decorative items such as ribbons.

Once you have gathered all the necessary materials, you can begin making the frame. This example shows how you can make a diamond kite. Take two wooden sticks and cut them to the appropriate lengths, one measuring 100 cm and the other measuring 90 cm. Then make a cross out of the two sticks. Use the shorter stick for the horizontal part of the cross. Use the longer stick for the vertical part. The two sticks should perfectly dissect each other. This will make your kite have equal lengths. Tie the sticks together using a piece of string. Make sure the sticks are firmly tied together and that the cross does not wobble. Apply some glue at the center to make it more stable.

Cut notches at the end of each stick. In these notches, you will fit in a piece of string. Stretch the string around the kite�s frame, fitting it in each notch. Loop the string on the top and the bottom notches. Then wrap the string a few times around the frame of the kite. Cut the excess string and glue the loose ends.

Making the sail is the next step. Place the paper on a flat surface and lay the frame on it. Cut the paper into the shape of the frame. Allow a few centimeters for a proper fit. Fold the excess edges of the paper and glue it to the frame. Add any decorations you want your kite to have.

Take a long piece of string and tie it to the top loop. Let it run through the bottom loop. Then tie a loop above the frame�s cross point. Take a few ribbons and tie them at the end of the string. Finally, tie a string to the loop above the cross point. Your kite is done and it is ready to fly.
